Motorcyclist injured in Barrington Hills crash

A woman was injured when her motorcycle skidded off the road at the intersection of Route 59 and Penny Road near Barrington Hills Thursday evening. Firefighter/paramedics from the Barrington and Palatine Rural Fire Departments responded to the scene at about 6:30 p.m. according to Barrington Assistant Chief Lenn Grant. The unidentified driver was rushed to St. Alexis Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. The extent of her injuries was unknown. There were no other vehicles involved in the accident. Investigators from Cook County Sheriff's Police Department are investigating the cause.
