Summer Program Guide: The Summer Program Guide will be delivered to your home by April 28. If you haven't received your guide, call (847) 577-3003, ext. 5353. Resident registration begins at 9 a.m. May 8.
Weed Control: The Arlington Heights Park District will be conducting its broadleaf weed control from April until July.
Culinary Treasures Tour: Join the Arlington Classic Tour Club on a culinary tour and gourmet lunch at Kendall College Culinary Institute at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Check in at 8 a.m. at the Senior Center. Fees are $82 for members and $92 for nonmembers. To register, stop by the Park District Office, in the Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road, or call (847) 797-5341 for more details.
Park District/Village Arbor Day Celebration: The Arlington Heights Park District and Village of Arlington Heights will plant a tree in celebration of Arbor Day at Raven Park at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Village and park district officials preside over the event with a special event sponsored by Poe Elementary School. Refreshments will be served. (847) 577-3000.
Museum Arbor Day Event: This free program designed for the whole family will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum, 110 W. Fremont St. Activities include a tree planting, free tree seedlings, a special presentation by arborists, and a variety of nature-related arts and crafts. (847) 255-1225.
Rockne of Notre Dame Tour: A tour to see the premiere of the musical "Rockne of Notre Dame" will be Sunday. Check in at 10:30 a.m. at the Senior Center. This tour includes Sunday brunch, theater ticket and motor coach transportation. Fees: $83 for members and $93 for nonmembers. To register, stop by the Park District Office in the Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road. Space is limited. Call (847) 797-5341.
Tennis Club Open House: Inviting new and returning players to an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. May 4 at Heritage Tennis Club, 7 W. College Drive. The first 20 people to R.S.V.P. and attend, receive a free Wilson Tennis Racquet. Visit www.ahpd.org/htc, or call (847) 398-7780.

Tour Club membership: Arlington Classic Tours offers annual memberships for $25 for individuals or $35 per household of two people living at the same address. Membership benefits include three weeks priority registration over the general public; $10 discounted price on each one-day tour, Star Treatment and 10 percent discount on Gift Store purchases (in the Senior Center). Junior Historian Club: The Historical Museum's Junior Historian Club returns for its second year. Designed for boys and girls from third through eighth grade, the Club offers activities created to help members learn more about their community and its heritage.
