Regular Americans need help, too
Trillions for them, they begrudge a trillion for us Big banks and credit card companies are among the "at risk" corporations who have received multiple trillions of government dollars, beginning even before George W. Bush left office.
Now those same forces begrudge spending a trillion dollars over the next ten years to ensure that each American has health insurance and, thus, does not have to face a medical catastrophe alone, falling victim to bankruptcy and the loss of a home.
The taxpayers provided the funds for the "bail outs". Now the taxpayers need help. Every American deserves health insurance that is affordable, not dependent on a job, and guaranteed.
We need a public option to make sure that every American has the health insurance they need. Is that too much to ask from those who have been given so much?
