Bartlett death may be result of drugs

Drugs may have contributed to the death of a 22-year-old Bartlett man, Scott McCarty, whose body was found Monday morning in a Hanover Park apartment, authorities said.

Hanover Park police reported Tuesday there was an indication of drug use and drug paraphernalia in the apartment, located in the Westline complex at 1700 Ontarioville Road.

A second unresponsive person who police have not identified remains hospitalized at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.

The DuPage County coroner's office said autopsy results for McCarty are pending toxicology reports.
