13-year-old on bike hit by car while crossing Libertyville street

A 13-year-old boy was struck by a car while biking across a busy Libertyville street on Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The unidentified boy was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville after the accident, but his condition was not known.
The accident occurred about 3:30 p.m. in front of the Dairy Dream shop on Route 176 west of Butterfield Road.
An accident investigation team was on the scene Monday afternoon.
