Coroner's jury to hear testimony in triple killing
WATERLOO -- New details may emerge in the case of a woman found strangled with her two sons in their southwestern Illinois home.
A Monroe County coroner's jury is scheduled to hear an investigator's testimony in the May killings in Columbia of Sheri Coleman and her two boys, ages 11 and 9.
Coleman's husband and the boys' father remains jailed without bond on first-degree murder charges. Christopher Coleman has pleaded innocent.
The inquest has no bearing on the criminal case. The coroner's jury will decide whether the deaths were natural, accident, homicide, suicide or of undetermined cause.
