St. Charles teen accused of burglary

A St. Charles teen remained in jail Monday afternoon on charges he stole two computers from a clubhouse at a local apartment complex, police said.

John A. Tugman, 19, was arrested Friday after police located the equipment, valued at $2,600, at his home on the 1700 block of Lucylle Avenue, according to a news release.

Police said the two computers and a monitor were reported stolen June 20 from a clubhouse at Amli Apartments, 100 Lakeside Drive.

Tugman, who is not a resident of the apartment complex, is charged with felony burglary and theft. He was being held in the Kane County jail Monday on a $40,000 bond. He needs to post $4,000 to get out.

His next court date is Aug. 6.
