Rotary Club honors local pastors
Pastors from local area churches were recognized at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Dundee Township held on June 16 at the Elgin Holiday Inn.
"This is a first for our Rotary Club and we are honored to have our local community religious leaders with us today," said Al Treml, club president, "And what a wonderful ecumenical meeting of all faiths gathered together."
Jerry Cain, president of Judson University, who is also an ordained pastor, was guest speaker at the event. Cain said, "You are the spiritual advisers of our community and play an important role in many lives."
In addition, Cain noted that the Rotary Club of Dundee Township, "is a strong and active group that also benefits the community through its many activities" including the Halloween party for children with special needs and generous scholarships to Dundee Township students.

Don Frye, St. James Episcopal Church, West Dundee; Rev. Stove Woita, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, West Dundee; Rev. Phil Baerwolf, Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Dundee; Rev. Bob Bauman, Faith Lutheran Church, Carpentersville; Rev. Bruce Meissner, Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Dundee; Rev. Ryan Boldt, Willow Creek Community Church, South Barrington, and Rev. Antonio Cabello, St. Stephen the Martyr Lutheran Church, Carpentersville.
The Rotary Club of Dundee Township currently has 34 members who represent a cross-section of business and professional backgrounds.
