Callaway service details set
A funeral service for legendary Chicago journalist John Callaway will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Rockefeller Chapel on the University of Chicago campus in Hyde Park, according to WTTW public television officials.
Callaway, 72, the founding host of WTTW Channel 11's "Chicago Tonight" program, died Tuesday after suffering a heart attack in a store near his home in Racine, Wis.
He was remembered this week by TV, radio and print colleagues, as well as the politicians he often engaged, as a thoughtful and talented interviewer and journalist.
WTTW said at its Web site that, in lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made to The John Callaway Excellence in Journalism Fund, in courtesy of the station.
