Couple found fatally shot in West Peoria

PEORIA -- A husband and wife have been found shot dead in their West Peoria home.

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll pronounced 52-year-old Connie Selburg and her husband, 57-year-old Robert Selburg dead on Tuesday morning.

Ingersoll says the woman suffered gunshot wounds to her head and upper body. She was found sitting in a living room chair. The husband had a single gunshot wound to his head and was found in a bedroom on a bed.

Autopsies will be Wednesday. Authorities found two weapons in the home.

Police say they're investigating the killings as a double homicide, but authorities say they're also considering murder-suicide.
