Ex-school bus driver charged with child porn must give up camera

A judge says a Plainfield man charged with child pornography must surrender his camera and pull the shades on his house, but won't have to go to jail pending trial.

About 30 neighbors of Mario Meschino showed up at a bond hearing before Judge Martin C. Ashman to complain that Meschino was taking pictures of neighborhood children. The photos were taken prior to his arrest in May.

Besides giving up his camera, the former school bus driver must pull the shades on the side of his house that faces a neighbor's pool.

The FBI says it found numerous computer discs containing suspected images of minor children engaged in sexual activity during a search of his home. Authorities say e-mail accounts used by Meschino were used to send such images.
