Sky scouting report

Sacramento Monarchs (1-7) at Chicago Sky (5-3)

When: 7 p.m.

Where: UIC Pavilion

Recent results: On Sunday, Sacramento lost to the Detroit Shock, 86-72; on Saturday, the Sky defeated the Washington Mystics, 68-63.

Skinny: As the Sky tries to stay undefeated at home, a favorable opponent (at least on paper) comes limping into the UIC Pavilion. Sacramento is riding a five-game losing streak. Another win on its home court would move the Sky to 5-0 there on the season. It would also keep the Sky near the top of the Eastern Conference standings. Currently the Sky is in second place-The Sky can take solace in the fact that it defeated the Washington Mystics on Saturday despite shooting a season-low 37.5 percent from the field. Forward Candice Dupree was immune, hitting 50 percent of her shots en route to a game-high 23 points-It's no secret why the Monarchs have gotten off to such a slow start. Only forward Nicole Powell is averaging double figures. She's at 14.3 points per game.

Next: Sky at San Antonio Silver Stars, Friday
