Briefs: AirCell recognized as pioneer leader

ITASCA -- AirCell was named to the annual FierceBroadband Wireless "Fierce 15" list of the top mobile broadband companies of the year. FierceBroadbandWireless editors evaluated hundreds of organizations, and found AirCell to be a pioneering leader, proven by its market success and industry innovations, such as effectively developing and commercializing its air-to-ground technology. AirCell recently signed a deal with American Airlines to begin testing wireless broadband Internet on transcontinental flights across the United States in 2008.

Inland Bancorp finishes acquisition

OAK BROOK -- Inland Bancorp Holding Co. completed its acquisition of AmeriMark Financial Corp. of Villa Park, the holding company for AmeriMark Bank. AmeriMark Bank is a full-service community bank with locations in Villa Park, Countryside and Glen Ellyn. The acquisition of AmeriMark Bank adds about $270 million in assets to Inland Bancorp's holdings, which now total over $1 billion.
