Arlington Heights death labeled a homicide

A man found at about 3 a.m. Sunday in the 700 block of East Golf Road near Goebbert Road in Arlington Heights was a homicide victim, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said this afternoon.

Deandre Berry, 35, of the 6500 block of Golfview in Gurnee, died of a hemorrhage from an assault, the medical examiner's office said after an autopsy Monday.

Police said he was found on a walkway. It was unclear who found the victim or who called police.
