Centennial of Chicago plan celebrated in exhibit

Two architects who shaped both the city of Chicago and the field of urban planning are being celebrated in a new exhibit.

In 1909, Daniel Burnham and Edward Bennett collaborated to create a new plan for the greater Chicago area.

Drawings, maps and photos from the historic project are now on display at O'Hare and Midway airports.

The Department of Aviation is one of 200 program partners participating in the plan's centennial celebration.

The O'Hare exhibit is in Terminal 2 near the University of Illinois Medical Clinic. The Midway exhibit is located in the Chicago Transit Authority pedestrian walkway.
