Brewfest to benefit Boys & Girls Club

This year's Elgin Brewfest, a live music and beer festival formerly known as the Prairie Rock Brewfest, will be raising money for the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin.

This free festival kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday, June 19, and runs through Saturday, June 20, at Festival Park, 123 S. Grove Ave. in Elgin. The fest will feature live music, beer vendors and food vendors. Daily festival hours are 5 to 11 p.m.

All proceeds will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin. A wristband will be sold for $1. Beer tickets will be sold for $1 each, four tickets per beer. Food is available for cash only. Music will be offered Friday and Saturday.

Appearing Friday: He Said, She Said from 5 to 6:30 p.m.; Howard & the White Boys from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.; and Heartache Tonight from 9 to 11 p.m. On Saturday, music will be performed by HiFi Superstar from 5 to 6:30 p.m.; Modern Day Romeos from 7 to 8:30 p.m.; and 7th Heaven from 9 to 11 p.m.
