This is a matter for Mundelein residents
In today's paper I came across a letter written by Sarah Powers, resident of Mundelein for Appropriate Development. I must say that I'm curious about how Sarah makes it appear as though the village's use of a developer from "out-of-town" is bad, yet it is perfectly reasonable to her that membership in their organization consists of "a diverse group of several hundred constituents of all economic levels with addresses in and all around Mundelein and Lake County."
Why should an organization that is geared toward the development of Mundelein allow membership to the rest of Lake County? As a resident of Mundelein, I expect the village to listen to their residents, not the entire county. The mayor and trustees of Mundelein are elected by Mundelein residents to serve Mundelein residents - not an organization made up of people from all over Lake County that have issues with the proliferation of Wal-Mart stores.
Perhaps a name change is in order for MfAD. I think that "Lake County Area Residents for the Development of Mundelein" might be more appropriate.
