Passing gun laws won't stop criminals

In reference to the article where Dr. Webster begs for answers on gun violence, I would love to hear his solutions. However, they need to be more substantial than "pass common sense gun laws." Apparently, he didn't bother to find out that the NRA and law-abiding gun owners support most of the laws that are already in place. How many of the homicides he talks about were committed by registered, licensed gun owners? I suspect very few.

So the criminals aren't obeying the existing laws. What a surprise! But the solution is to pass more laws? How about some common sense ideas for enforcing the current laws instead of knee-jerk reactions of demanding more of them?
