Storm looks to move on with playoff win
The Chicago Storm has an opportunity to capture its first playoff series victory in the organization's fourth season.
The Storm heads to Mexico to play La Raza de Monterrey in Game 2 of its Major Indoor Soccer League Championship quarterfinal series at 6 p.m. Sunday.
With a Storm win, the team would wrap up its first MISL playoff series victory.
Chicago captured Game 1 of the series with a 10-8 overtime victory against La Raza on Thursday at the Sears Centre Arena. Fabinho scored two goals, including the game-winner, to lift the Storm.
The quarterfinal and semifinal series are two-match formats. If Monterrey wins Game 2, the series goes to a "Golden Goal" match that immediately follows. The first team to score a goal advances to the next playoff round.
If the Storm advances, it would play Milwaukee in the next round and host a semifinal match at noon Saturday at the Sears Centre.
