Nominate your Sugar Grove Citizen of the Year

This year, the village of Sugar Grove and the Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry continue the tradition of sponsoring the Sugar Grove "Citizen of the Year Award."

This award is intended to recognize, from among the nominations, the selected individual or group, which this year best exemplifies that pioneering spirit which helps the village grow and prosper.

Applications are available by stopping by the Sugar Grove Village Hall, 10 Municipal Drive; Sugar Grove Library, 54 Snow St.; or the Sugar Grove Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Applications also are available at sugargrovechamber.org or sugar-grove.il.us.

All nomination submissions will be accepted until Wednesday, July 1. There will be drop boxes at the Sugar Grove Public Library and Sugar Grove village hall for submissions or you can mail them to Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 765, Sugar Grove, IL 60554.

During Corn Boil 2009, plan to attend the award presentation, scheduled during the evening events on Friday, July 24, in Volunteer Park.
