Thanks for all donations, help

The volunteers of F.I.S.H. Food Pantry of Carpentersville would like to thank the postal carriers of Carpentersville and Dundee for the Mother's Day food drive they sponsored for our pantry. Together, they collected and delivered to our pantry more than 7,000 pounds of food and nonperishable items.

Thank you to all the families who donated to this food drive. It is gratifying to know we have so many caring and giving people in our area. Thanks to your generosity, we are able to continue helping the needy in our area. Thanks also to all you wonderful volunteers who helped us sort and put away this huge donation.

The number of families we serve has increased from 385 per month in 2008 to 425 per month in 2009.
