Willowbrook mom pleads guilty in beating

A DuPage County mother faces six to 60 years in prison for beating her 22-month-old son because she was "frustrated and stressed" with his crying, prosecutors said. Jasmine P. Walker, 20, of unincorporated Willowbrook, pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated battery of a child. Police arrested her April 12 after the baby was treated at a Chicago hospital for fractured ribs, a lacerated liver, a broken arm and bite marks. Doctors also found signs of old injuries. DuPage Circuit Judge Peter J. Dockery is expected to sentence Walker later this summer.
