Vote Bianchi for integrity, honesty

No wonder the Republican Party is in trouble. The Daily Herald reported that William LeFew, McHenry County Republican Party chairman, anonymously (until now) mailed a reprint of a Daily Herald article regarding incumbent State's Attorney Lou Bianchi that was critical of monies spent that total less than $6,000 a year.

The article failed to mention that Bianchi saved McHenry County $500,000 a year in outside counsel fees (not to mention other areas of savings). It should be simple. You do the math. Someone didn't.

LeFew had stated previously that he had a duty to "protect" Republican candidates. I don't think that mailing articles with a bias against his own party's candidate demonstrates party leadership.

Were election laws violated by the party leader? I don't know, but it is food for thought or maybe legal action, if warranted. It should give the voters pause. Then again, LeFew also said that he was going to step down as party leader. I think he should keep his word since he has done more to divide and destroy the party than anyone in recent memory.

It appears that Bianchi has disrupted typical McHenry County politics by serving the people instead of party leaders. They want business as usual. McHenry County take note … vote for Bianchi if you value honesty and integrity.
