Do background checks in schools

I, as a concerned taxpaying legal citizen of the state of Illinois, am concerned at the trend I see coming out of our schools.

Almost daily I read in the newspaper or see on the television very disturbing trends from our educators. First we have, it seems, many sexual predators in our school system as there have been many teachers accused of having sex with or soliciting sex with their students. Also, I have seen in just the past couple of days teachers who have admitted to being communists in our school system! These teachers may be in our colleges, but teachers nonetheless.

I believe before we turn our young children over to a school system that seems to hire these types of teachers that we are paying for that we should have some sort of say in the process. That is why I believe background checks are a good idea. My children are way more important to me than the complaints or excuses we will hear against this idea.

Our school boards are failing us, all one has to do is look at the curriculum in our schools today. Is it any wonder we have such an anti-American sentiment in this country when our children are being taught to hate this country. My own children tell me of teachers that guilt them into walks and charities that personally are not school related. Our children do not have a choice when it comes to teachers and I am afraid neither do I.

I do not want communists known otherwise teaching my children!
