Agency on Aging seeks Kane Co. volunteers

The Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging is seeking two Kane County residents or persons employed in Kane County to represent the county on its advisory council. One position is for a three-year term that began in April. The other is for the remaining year of an unexpired term, and the appointee will then be eligible for a full three-year term.

The primary qualifications required for this volunteer position are a sincere interest in benefiting senior citizens and a desire to make the public aware of the services available to seniors. Volunteers, age 60 and older, are particularly encouraged to apply. Interested persons should contact Dawn Chapman at the agency by Friday, May 15 at P.O. Box 809, Kankakee, IL 60901; or call (815) 939-0727 or (800) 528-2000.
