Pirates and political correctness
Acts of terror by terrorists are now called "man caused disasters" to avoid hurting the terrorist's feelings.
The "global war on terror" which used to be a good thing, is now a bad thing and called "overseas contingent operations" to avoid nasty labels.
Pretty soon our government will tell us to refer to pirates as "assertive economic opportunists" so that we don't hurt their feelings.
How on earth are we going to deal with al-Qaida, Iran, North Korea, and Russia when we can't even deal with pirates effectively as a global community? Are there any adults left in government?
