Beauty salon robbed in Hanover Park

Hanover Park police said a gunman robbed a Hanover Park beauty salon this morning.

The incident took place about 11:30 a.m. on the 2000 block of Irving Park Road. An unidentified male entered the shop, displayed a black handgun and demanded cash, police said.

He fled southbound in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said.

None of the three people in the beauty salon were hurt.

Police did not release any further details.
