Chicago mother charged after boy found on street

Chicago police say the mother of a 4-year-old boy who was found wandering the streets has been charged with misdemeanor child endangerment.

A concerned citizen reported the child to police Saturday morning. He was found wandering the streets around his South Side home. The boy was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital for observation.

Police said they later located and arrested his mother, 35-year-old Sharon Robertson.
