Palatine woman charged with taking money from employer
A Palatine woman was released on a $5,000 bond Saturday after being charged with allegedly taking more than $10,000 from her limousine employer.
Paulette Matusiak, 58, of 1485 Evergreen, Palatine, was charged with two counts of theft, both Class 4 felonies.
In March, she was working for Royal Limousine and allegedly deposited two checks totaling $10,467 in her personal bank account instead of her employer's bank account, said Cook County assistant state's attorney Matt Medina.
She turned herself into the authorities on Friday, he said.
A hearing was scheduled for May 22 at Cook County Circuit Court in Rolling Meadows.
