Obama's travels are promising for world
We might call this President Obama's international travel month. First he met leaders in Europe, and had some frank talks about improving the international monetary system. He said we will balance our budget by the end of his first term. Then he met Latin American leaders in Trinidad. One of the items was Cuba. In the late fifties I worked with Cuban refugees in Philadelphia. I think he is on the right track here.
When he talked to the leaders in Mexico, I was concerned over the number of guns we are selling to them. As a veteran we certainly need to stop sending guns there and put more control on selling guns here.
It was great news when he talked to Turkey's leaders when one of the headlines in the associated press reported." U.S. will never be at war with Islam" You might be interested in knowing five years ago with a Muslim friend we organized a religious group of different faiths, Hindus, Christians, Muslims etc. We are learning more about each other and to take steps to take to stop religious wars.
