Thanks for help with Habitat home

On behalf of the local partner family receiving a beautiful new Habitat for Humanity home, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the employees and families of Nicor for lending a helping hand during Nicor's 13th Annual Volunteer Day. It is truly inspiring to watch the people of this community roll up their sleeves in support of Habitat's mission to benefit local families needing attainable housing. DuPage Habitat for Humanity partners with families and the community to create affordable, livable housing using donated materials and volunteer labor. These houses are then sold to limited-income families needing shelter. Thanks to the support of Nicor volunteers, we were able to put siding on both the house and garage of a local Habitat for Humanity home this weekend. In addition to the hours of labor donated by Nicor families, we also received a generous $5,000 grant from Nicor that will be used for housing construction and rehabilitation. We are pleased to benefit from the philanthropic commitment of Nicor and are proud to partner with a company that invests in the local community and promotes good corporate citizenship.
