Study voting records of the candidates
In her letter to the Fence Post on Oct. 1, Judy Thompson stated she is having a hard time understanding people who would rather lose precious lives in a war we shouldn't be in, and that we will be in another war in Iran if McCain is elected.
In the next paragraph she states "He (John McCain) wants to take away a woman's right to choose."
Speaking of precious lives, we need to consider the fact Obama voted three times against a bill in the Illinois State Senate that would have provided protection for babies who survive abortion equal to protection received by babies who are spontaneously born prematurely.
What I'm having a hard time understanding is how people who are concerned with loss of life in a war (men and women volunteer for) would not be concerned for the loss of babies lives.
Ms. Thompson also spoke of "much prejudice", and why "in her opinion" McCain chose a women for a running mate.
Rather than speculation, emotionalism, or playing the race card, let's be informed voters who closely examine the voting records of the candidates.
Once we have gathered all the facts, we can we will be in a better position to make an educated choice.
