Speak to author about easy landscaping ideas
On Thursday, stop by Books at Sunset, 1100 South St. in Elgin, for iced tea and conversation with landscape designer and author Patricia Hill at 7 p.m.
Featured will be her 2007 release, "Design Your Natural Midwest Garden." Hill's focus on designs featuring only native species has caught the attention of the Chicago Flower and Garden Show, where in 2000 she won "Best of Show" for an exhibit garden design.
With 25 years of expertise, she presents to even non-gardeners an easy-to-follow and illustrated guide to gardening with native species. The results are low maintenance and environmentally beneficial.
