Carpentersville is on the way up

On behalf of the entire Carpentersville Cares Team, we would like to thank our many volunteers and supporters. We ran a low-budget campaign and sought no large donations. We want to be completely independent so that we can work hard for every resident of Carpentersville.

We also chose not to answer accusations and misinformation on blogs and newspaper comments. This misinformation and negativity got us where we are now. We want to break the cycle.

The four candidates and a number of volunteers set a goal of trying to visit the residences of every registered voter in the village. We met so many nice, sincere people in all corners of Carpentersville. It was very heartening to hear from so many people who want the village board to work together and provide solid leadership for the future.

With this challenge in mind, I call on all residents to become involved in the village no matter which candidate you supported. Attend the board meetings, join a committee, e-mail an idea, pick up some litter, help out a neighbor, or put in a good word about Carpentersville to your friends and co-workers. This is a place that is on the way up. Help us to make it happen.
