Broad spectrum supports Golden

Judge Patricia Piper Golden is the only candidate to have received a recommended rating from a poll of the Illinois Bar State Association. Her opponent was not recommended, based upon a variety of applicable criteria.

Golden has ably served Kane County for over a decade. First appointed an associate by the circuit judges, the Illinois Supreme Court unanimously elevated her to a full circuit judge in 2006.

These endorsements of her qualifications are an important consideration in comparing the candidates for this most important position. In addition to the faith shown in Golden by the judiciary, she has earned the respect of litigants and counsel.

On Feb.5, this important position is included in the Republican primary ballot. We should consider her favorably as our ballots are cast.
