Some teachers don't belong in schools

After reading the comments in April 13 Fence Post column by Linda Nuss, I felt a strong urge to make my own comments. Linda states that no one becomes a teacher for the money, and goes on to say that people become teachers because they wish to help children. After putting three of my own children through public elementary schools in Elk Grove Village, I can tell you from experience that there are certainly teachers in the profession that are very passionate about their students, and there are also teachers that make you wonder why they are in their teaching positions.
