All first-graders should learn second language
Not enough students in Elgin learn a second language. However, to prevent this, I believe that learning any second language should be made mandatory for first- graders in Elgin. When a child learns a new language, they become more fluent in the new language, rather than learning a second language in college. Also, if a person is bilingual, it opens doors for them when looking for a job or other opportunities.
