'Holy Family is very proud of Dawn'

Congratulations to Dawn Mayer, recipient of the 2009 Religious Education Excellence Award given by the National Association of Parish Catechetical Directors on April 17.

The National Catholic Education Association selects catechetical directors as recipients of the Religious Education Excellence Award whose programs exemplify outstanding qualities in serving children, parents, and adults.

Dawn, whose work was featured in the January 2009 Religious Education Journal, has developed innovative religious education programs at Holy Family Parish in Inverness, most notably Home Faith, Gathered At Table, Family Sacramental Journeys and FAITH Alive.

Fr. Pat Brennan says, "Holy Family is very proud of Dawn Mayer as she receives this award in Los Angeles this week. For the past 16 years, Dawn has exhibited excellence in catechetical leadership. She really deserves this award."
