The great thrill of Obama's victory

I think it is important to state that there are many God-loving people in this country who do not see the world the way Mr. Philip Roos does (Fence Post, Nov. 17).

In fact, a majority of us are thrilled beyond measure that Barack Obama was elected our new president.

After eight years of lies, deceit, and destruction of our democratic principles, I am once again proud to be an American, having elected a man of integrity, wisdom and compassion.
