Humane society grateful for help
On April 24, about 25 generous employees from Exelon Nuclear and other Exelon business units participated in a National Volunteer Week event at the Naperville Area Humane Society. These hardworking individuals painted, power-washed, did outdoor landscaping and a variety of other tasks to help beautify and improve our shelter. Organized by Exelon Nuclear Vice President of Licensing and Public Affairs Keith Jury and Community Outreach Manager Neal Miller, this group gave of their time, skills and energy to support the Naperville Area Humane Society. The spirit of volunteerism runs deep in this organization and we are deeply grateful.
NAHS has more than 300 volunteers that work hard for us every day. From walking our shelter dogs to cleaning cages, socializing with our cats and participating in our outreach and special events, the Naperville Area Humane Society would not be the organization it is without these special individuals. On behalf of the Naperville Area Humane Society, the thousands of children we educate every year and the loving companion animals we shelter and re-home, we thank Exelon Nuclear and all of the wonderful volunteers who help us every day.
