Civil unions are a civil rights issue

Thanks so much for your strong editorial for civil rights. That's right, civil unions is a civil rights issue, not a religious issue. As an ordained minister of the Gospel, I have been a strong supporter for the separation of civil union and marriage. Many other countries require all to have a civil union, only the church requires a marriage, so in those countries you get both if you want to be in the church. It's about time we in Illinois join in being in the forefront of these civil liberties. Again, I want to thank you for your editorial.
