Fire only unbeaten team in MLS with win over Toronto
TORONTO -- Second-half goals from Chris Rolfe and Brian McBride kept the Chicago Fire the only unbeaten team in MLS with a 2-0 win over Toronto FC on Saturday.
The victory ended the Fire's run of five straight ties.
The first goal for Chicago (3-0-6) came in the 59th minute, when Cuauhtemoc Blanco split the Toronto defense to find Rolfe, who avoided a charging Stefan Frei to slip the ball into an empty net. The goal was Rolfe's second of the season.
Toronto FC (3-3-4) had its first loss under interim coach Chris Cummins.
