Russell Road detour on Friday, Dec. 27

The Union Pacific Railroad will close Russell Road at the railroad crossing west of Route 131/Green Bay Road from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, for emergency repairs, the Lake County Division of Transportation said in a news release. Local traffic will be allowed on Russell Road from Kilbourne Road east to the railroad crossing and on Russell Road from Route 131/Green Bay Road west to the railroad crossing. The railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic. The detour route is Kilbourne Road to Route 173 to Route 131/Green Bay Road.
