Advocate acquires Midwest Physicians

OAK BROOK - Advocate Medical Group, part of Advocate Health Care and one of the region's largest physician-governed medical groups, said Thursday it will acquire Olympia Fields-based Midwest Physician Group by July. Advocate is purchasing $12.5 million in bond debt. Midwest Physicians will receive no money from the deal, but its 60 physicians in 70 locations will be employed by Advocate.
