Miles charged with pot possession in downstate Ill.
Professional basketball player Darius Miles is free on bond after being accused in Illinois of possessing marijuana police say they found after a traffic stop.
Police in the St. Louis suburb of Fairview Heights say the 27-year-old Miles was alone in his 1996 Chevrolet Impala when they pulled him over Wednesday night for allegedly failing to use a turn signal.
Police ticketed him for driving with a suspended license. When the car was towed off, police say a search of it uncovered a misdemeanor amount of marijuana in a bag.
Miles closed out last season with the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies, where he averaged 3.5 points over 35 games.
A message was left by The Associated with a woman who answered a Belleville phone's home listed under Miles' name.
