Forget about caring and compassionate

Ellen Goodman speaks of compassion and end-of-life talks between doctors and patients regarding continuing care for terminal patients. What she doesn't address is that under Obama's nationalized health plan these decisions would be made autocratically by an overworked bureaucrat in some government boiler room guided by a computer program. No caring and compassionate discussions.
