Ready for a change of leadership

As a member of the Lombard Transportation and Safety Committee I have had opportunities to work with Rick Soderstrom on a variety of issues. I have always found him to be very knowledgeable, dedicated and committed to making well-informed decisions that are in the best interest of all of us. Rick has proved to be a highly effective public servant without aligning himself with any political party or special interest groups. He is as independent as they come in local politics, and I believe that will bring a refreshing change to our village hall and boardroom. Rick has been elected to office three times in Lombard, and has served as park district commissioner and president before serving for the past eight years as village trustee. What gives me the most confidence in Rick is that he has helped to deliver a balanced budget in these tough times while serving as chairman of the village's finance committee for the past four years. It has been 16 years since we had change in Lombard's village presidency and we are very fortunate to have an experienced candidate ready to step into the role of Lombard's leader and unifier.
