BG clerk casts vote for civility
As village clerk in Buffalo Grove, I have never endorsed any candidate in any election. However, the current election has unfortunately taken a turn that has included outrageous personal attacks on good people by one candidate, and I believe that I need to make my opinion known.
I have lived in Buffalo Grove for 41 years, and been village clerk for 30 years, and I have never seen an election this contentious. In fact, in seeing what goes on in other communities, I have always been proud of the fact that our elections have been very civil.
I have worked with Jeff Braiman for close to 20 years and he is a dedicated and ethical trustee who has the best interests of the entire Village of Buffalo Grove in all that he does.
I worked very closely with Joanne Johnson on the 50th Anniversary History Book, and she was incredibly thorough and did a fabulous job of researching facts and getting information and working with the graphic artist to put the book together.
I also worked closely with Beverly Sussman and Mike Terson on the 50th anniversary committee, and they were a tremendous help and made huge contributions to our celebrations during 2008.
I have not had the opportunity to work with Andy Stein, but my observation throughout the campaign is that he is a credible candidate.
Please research the candidates and make an informed decision on April 7th -- one vote may well make a difference.
