Nine arrested at Sugar Grove party
Nine people were arrested at an underage drinking party early Saturday in Sugar Grove, police said Monday.
Officers were called to a residence on the 300 block of Sutton Court shortly after midnight and found several minors under the influence of alcohol, including some hiding in closets and behind furniture, according to a news release.
Charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor were Jasmeen Castillo, 24, and Connie Castillo, 22, who both live at the residence where the party was held, and Anthony Westbrook, 21, of Mooseheart, police said. Connie Castillo also was charged with obstructing justice.
Also charged was Eric Castillo, whose age was not provided. Castillo, who also lived at the home where the party was held, is charged with obstructing police, underage drinking and unlawfully permitting a minor to become intoxicated.
Police identified five others charged with underage drinking: David Lehman, 19, of Geneva; Andrew Liddell, 19, of Aurora; Dana Zimmer, 17, of Sugar Grove; Savanna Castillo, 17, of Sugar Grove, and Michael Naydenoff, 18, of Geneva.
Police said the suspects were charged under local ordinances and each face fines ranging from $70 to $160.
