Bias against Catholics is obvious

The host of Chicago Tonight stated that Cardinal George had no moral authority to condemn Notre Dame for giving a honorary degree to the President, and all the news commentators agreed, citing the priest scandal as the reason. The Cardinal is the head of the council of bishops for the United States and in that capacity and conveying the Pope's directive; that a Catholic University should not give honorary degrees to elected Officials who vote for intrinsically evil laws.

The Catholics who object, do not object to the visit, which can lead to a dialogue, but the giving of the degree. Can't the university find a Catholic role model to give an honorary degree to?

I have watched the program for 20 years, I never saw such an anti-Catholic bias, in any public TV Show. Don't they realize that their funding comes from 'good will' donations.
